Lansdowne is a cantonment town in Pauri Garhwal district in the Indian state of Uttarakhand.
Lansdowne was founded and named after then Viceroy of India, Lord Lansdowne in 1887.Lansdowne was developed by the British for catering for the Recruits Training center of the Garhwal Rifles. Lansdowne was a major place of the activities of freedom fighters from British Garhwal during British period.
This September, I had the privilege of visiting this lovely place along with my friends. The beauty of this place is that it is still untouched by the commercial and polluted external world. This is an ideal place for the ones who want to relax from their office stress and for the ones who love spending time in nature.
Beauty of Lansdowne lies in its weather…one moment it is cloudy..other moment it is sunny and other moment it may drizzle…this lovely weather has capability to bring smile on any frustrated soul 😉
Me and my friends had long walks in this wonderful place and above all in life its not the destination that matters..its the journey and the people whom we who have makes the journey beautiful 🙂
You too check this place and you would love the visit 🙂
