Poet: Ramdhari Singh “Dinkar” Translation: the maVerick
Kshama, daya, tap, tyaag, manobal
Sabka liya sahara
Par nar vyagh Suyodhan tumse
Kaho kahan kab haara?
Mercy, resolve, tact, tolerance
You’ve tried everything and some
But o my king of men
When did Suyodhan succumb?
Kshamasheel ho rrpu-saksham
Tum huye vineet jitna hi
Dusht Kauravon ne tumko
Kaayar samjha utna hi
The more forgiving you were
In your humane compassion
The more these rouge Kauravas
Pegged you as cowardly ashen
Atyachar sahan karne ka
Kufal yahi hota hai
Paurush ka aatank manuj
Komal hokar khota hai
This is the consequence
Of tolerating atrocities
The awe of machismo is lost
When one’s gentle n kindly
Kshama shobhti us bhujang ko
Jiske paas garal hai
Uska kya jo dantheen
Vishrahit vineet saral hai
Forgiveness is becoming of
The serpent that’s got venom
None cares for the toothless,
Poisonless, kind, gentle one
Teen divas tak panth mangte
Raghupati sindhu kinare
Baithey padhtey rahey chhand
Anunay ke pyaare pyaare
For three days Lord Raam kept
Asking the ocean for a passage
Sitting there he petitioned
Using the sweetest words to engage
Uttar mein jab ek naad bhi
Utha nahi saagar se
Uthi adheer dhadhak paurush ki
Aag raam ke shar se
When in response there was
Not a whisper from the sea
A raging fire of endeavor
Rose from Raam’s body
Sindhu deh dhar trahi-trahi
Karta aa gira sharan mein
Charan pooj daasta grrhan ki
Bandha moodh bandhan mein
The ocean took human-form
‘N supplicated to Raam
Touched his feet, was subservient
A slave he had become
Sach poochho to shar mein hi
Basti hai deepti vinay ki
Sandhivachan sampoojya usika
Jisme shakti vijay ki
Truth be told, it’s in the quiver
That lies the gleam of modesty
Only his peace-talk is reputable
Who is capable of victory
Sahansheelta, kshama, daya ko
Tabhi poojta jag hai
Bal ka darp chamakta uskey
Peechhey jab jagmag hai
Tolerance, forgiveness and clemency
Are respected by the world
Only when the glow of strength
From behind them is unfurled

“Karmayogi ” book on Shri E. Sreedharan : Gita for all the Project Managers

Karmayogi

Finally, today I completed reading this beautiful book “KarmaYogi” A biography of E.Sreedharan. Without any doubt I can say this book is a “Gita for all the Project Managers”.

I am a fan of Shri E.Sreedharan from my college days. The assertiveness, the honesty, mighty power of this Project Management stalwart always fascinated me. I am a big fan of people who take risks and assertively do what they believe without fearing anything.
However, I always wondered from where do these mighty people like E Sreedharan derive their strength from. How are they fearless. Is it just because on the grip of their subject. Is it because of their people management skills. It has everything to do with their value system which is Strong like a fort which is built because of spiritual strength. Such fearless, assertive people who are best in whatever they do are sincere servants of God. Immaterial of the religion they practice, the strength they derive because of the connection to God makes them strong, charismatic and humble. This brings immense grace, they have an aura which is unmatchable to any others.

Do buy this book and read it leisurely chapter wise, while reading each chapter research for videos, news ,documentaries related to each major project. You get to learn so many project management lessons, lessons of values, strength and resilience.

Do gift this book to all the people you care and want them to be best version of themselves.

Self Worth

”Self-worth”

For anyone that experiences a major traumatic event the question of self-worth becomes very important.  Regardless of the event, it is easy to conclude that it was experienced either because of a lack of worth to others or, more painfully, a lack of worth to God.  When others hurt us this pain can be internalized and tied to the insecurity of value.  We begin to think that if only we were more valuable we would not have been treated this way.  This easily develops into the belief that we must not even have value to God or he would not have allowed these things to come into our lives.  We believe the voice inside of us that says, “no one cares.”

A misunderstanding of our own worth can lead us to do one of two things.  Either we accept that we have no value and live or die as one who is worthless, or we fill our minds with empty “happy talk” that may prop up our esteem for a while but will ultimately let us down.  Our value is not based either on what others think about us or what we think about ourselves.

We have value because we were created in the image of God to have a relationship with Him!  We are intrinsically valuable regardless of how we feel, how we are treated or what we experience.  This is a difficult thing to understand.  We so closely tie the events of life to our worth that we have a hard time separating the two.  What happened to you or how you were treated should not define you and has no bearing on how much God loves you!  You are so valuable, in fact, that Christ paid for your sins so that He could have a relationship with you!

The “why” of life’s events may never be explained, but don’t ever believe that those events somehow define your worth.

You are loved.  You are valuable. You have a bright future because the one who created you has a plan for your life that you alone can fulfill.

4 ways to build a human company in the age of machines

HiAll,

Got to watch a beautiful TED talk on “4 ways to build a human company in the age of machines”. So am sharing it here. Do watch it.

To maintain our humanity in the this second Machine Age, we may have no other choice than to create beauty. Beauty is an elusive concept. For the writer Stendhal it was the promise of happiness. For me it’s a goal by Lionel Messi. So bear with me as I am proposing four admittedly very subjective principles that you can use to build a beautiful organization.
First: do the unnecessary.

The second principle: create intimacy.

Third: The risk to be ugly.Be UglyTo be authentic is to be ugly.

Fourth: Remain Incomplete

So to do the unnecessary, to create intimacy, to be ugly, to remain incomplete — these are not only the qualities of beautiful organizations, these are inherently human characteristics. And these are also the qualities of what we call home. And as we disrupt, and are disrupted, the least we can do is to ensure that we still feel at home in our organizations, and that we use our organizations to create that feeling for others.

Friendship with God

#FriendshipWithGod #BestFriend #YourBestVersion

Lately, got opportunity to learn lil bit more about the “Importance of Friendship with God” from Holy books of Hinduism and Christianity. Striking a best friendship with God? Is it possible? Is it feasible?

Was trying to relate to the best friends we have in normal world. We do have so many friends, thanks to social media, the people whom we never met are also friends. However, there are very few…rather countable people..May be 2 or 3  whom we call “Best Friends”. They are our support system. So do they catch your hand and take you everywhere. Do they solve all your issues for you? Do they do all your works for you?

No. They don’t. However, you have immense trust in them. You know they will save you when you are in trouble. They will kick your back and ask you to deal the stuff like boss. So, you are fully convinced that come what may, you have your best friends to rescue you.

So, in this situation what do you do. With this tremendous moral boosting and confidence you have on your friends, you try to be best version of yourself. You raise your standards of achieving stuff, you push yourself out of your comfort zones. You become audacious, fearless and you become your best. How is it possible? Just because you know that your best friends are there for you to save you.

Similarly, if we nurture “Close friendship with God”, God will become our best friend. Our inner strength increases tremendously. Our normal best friends are humans, if we can achieve so much with their friendship, imagine the levels of bliss and happiness we will have striking a close friendship with God who is of infinite power.

Think about it 🙂

Have a great week ahead ❤

What’s the Purpose of Life? Does Your Goals Map To The Goals Of God For You?

#PurposeOfLife #GodsPlansForYou

wp-image-2120388786jpg.jpeg

In the quest for purpose, we must distinguish between proximate and remote purposes. The proximate refers to that which is close at hand. The remote refers to the distant, far-off, ultimate purpose. The football player’s proximate goal is to make a first down. The more remote goal is a touchdown. The even more remote goal is to win the game. The ultimate goal is to win a championship.

Sometimes the proximate and the remote seem to be mutually exclusive. The divine intention is the exact opposite of the human intention. Humans have one goal; God has a different one. The amazing truth is that the remote purpose is served by the proximate one.

Think about how proximate purpose may be contributing to God’s remote purpose in your life.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Now that you read these beautiful lines, Trust in God’s plans for you. No moment, No act, No lesson learnt is waste. It is taking you to your final purpose decided by God for you
Stay Blessed and Stay Cheerful always 😀
