And why should you have regrets in life?

Life is something which we need to live without regrets.
And then dying each moment, wondering, what if I had done this…what if I had spoken honestly my mind to Mom and Dad from my teenage itself…what if I had studied my favorite course on Geology instead of Computer Science…what if I had bought my Harley Davidson bike instead of this big car…  what if I had proposed to this person..what if I had confessed honestly my feelings for this person…
what if I were lil patient…what if I had a check on my temperament…what if I had explored World instead of buying home and paying EMI’s …what if I had started my own company instead of slogging in different corporates…blah blah blah blah….

Yeah, definitely we will not succeed all the times…we might fail…but still..we will face life because they are our choices and we will not be regretting about them 😉

Life is meant to be lived without regrets…even if in this moment, God of Death invites us, we should go along with him happily because we are sure we lived each moment without regrets.

And when we are old and dying and when God takes us along with him we shouldn’t experience the trauma of “Regrets”.

Ok..then the immediate question that pops up our mind is…”Damn…won’t people make fun of us if something or everything goes wrong”..”Won’t our loved ones abandon us if we are a failure”…”What happens to my image if this person rejects me or if this business venture fails”..Yes all these might happen, or not happen or some more things also happen…but you know what…you will still be happy instead of being a mechanical sad Robot.
However, we need to strengthen ourselves in dealing the criticism, setbacks. We need have to have faith in the God who sent us to this planet, we need to build faith and support in our parents , friends and our mentors about our ideas. This support system and discipline, patience with ourselves will definitely help us live the life we want to 🙂

In reference to this I just got reminded of this quote of Mark Sloan  from Grey’s Anatomy :
“I want you to promise me something. If you love someone, you tell them. Even if you are scared that it’s not the right thing. Even if you’re scared that it will cause problems. Even if you are scared it will burn your life to the ground. You say it, and you say it loud. And then you go from there….”

Live the life you want to live before it gets too late 🙂

She belonged to a powerful race, this woman.
She was soft, strong, tenacious and beautiful all at once.

With fragrance in her blood, the scent of resilience taking her though rough seas and calm, jagged terrains and ambiguous highlands; she was weathered.

Finding strength in solitude, she emerges; tall, bold, spirited. Always an enhanced alteration of herself, reborn with a fire that kindles. What breaks her, makes her. And she wears the beautifully broken fragments with grace.

Yes, she does belong to a powerful race, this woman. A blossoming rose, exemplifying all of womankind.
She perfumes the winds as she walks, and the air lingers with yearning for her to return.

Lil Bit Of Everything…That’s What We Are..

“Everybody has a little bit of the sun and moon in them. Everybody has a little bit of man, woman, and animal in them. Darks and lights in them. Everyone is part of a connected cosmic system. Part earth and sea, wind and fire, with some salt and dust swimming in them. We have a universe within ourselves that mimics the universe outside. None of us are just black or white, or never wrong and always right. No one. No one exists without polarities. Everybody has good and bad forces working with them, against them, and within them.”

Questioning and Challenging: Real Way To Learn

Whether it is Vedic times, Whether it is times of Jesus, Whether it is times of Prophet, Whether it is recent times of Socrates…the only way we learnt is “Questioning and Challenging in constructive manner”.

And Wise people were tolerant to listen to questions and challenges and helped the seeker in finding the answers by thyself with proper directions.

In my college days our Physics Professor, Dr. Sudhakar Puttagunta never solved the physics problems by himself, he used to question us several right questions and we used to solve beautifully complex Irodov problems too easily and in the end we used to feel victorious.

Here, again we have this amazing person Devdutt Pattanaik . His books, his lectures on “Sanatan Dharam” ( will not call “Mythology” as I believe, it was real, not “Myth” and it was History, thanks to Don Amit for  correcting me on this aspect ) are immensely Scientific, logical and beautifully explained. All the questions we have on Sanatan Dharam are beautifully explained by him. It’s a pleasure reading his stuff.

Yesterday was lucky enough to buy his new books and must say, they are new additions to my treasured possessions.
Do check them if you get chance 🙂

Magical March : Friday Thoughts

Constant concerned question/ lovely warning and suggestion I face from my loved ones right from my school days is “Why do you struggle, why can’t you be normal like others…why don’t you reduce your speed….why can’t you follow the normal route of your fellow people, why do you take different route and why do you take risks in life”.

Several times in life…I face this questions like “Why are you not like your colleagues, why aren’t you just  like your other college folks, why all these different ideals, Aren’t you scared of being in tough situations, why don’t you like settled in comfort zones”.

And yeah, I get into troubles, I get hurt , it’s not that I don’t listen to my loved ones advice, I do listen, particularly when I fail ,  I do try to be like other people , but …You know what…when I try to do that…I miss me…And after a short interval of introspection, I do what my heart says and again I am in my normal way, then again I feel alive.

And this time too while I was coming back from long vacation, Mom asked me the regular questions, “Why can’t you be normal like folks of your age, why different aspirations, Do you still have energy.”

And I couldn’t stop hugging her and saying “Amma!  if there is onething that drives me, even if I am dead tired and broken, it is my innerfire, inner energy and the dreams God planted in me. And if I leave these, I am as dead as a rock. Don’t ask me to be whom I am not meant to be, I will not be happy “. And she hugged me back, saying “I know :)”.

And today being a Friday night , I was checking my good old favorite books and aloha, I find this quote from my favorite book “Johnathan livingstone Seagull”

Here is the quote:

“Why, Jon, why?” his mother asked. “Why is it so hard to be like the rest of the flock, Jon? Why can’t you leave low flying to the pelicans, the alhatross? Why don’t you eat? Son, you’re bone and feathers!” “I don’t mind being bone and feathers mom. I just want to know what I can do in the air and what I can’t, that’s all. I just want to know.

~~~Richard Bach, Jonathan Livingston Seagull
We all are sent to this planet with some purpose and we shouldn’t waste this powerful human life by passing the time just like that copying others. We are unique 🙂 . May be once in a while we need to pause, introspect, forgive ourselves, forgive others and sharpen our minds, skills, and live the life we want to live 🙂
Happy Weekend.
What Exactly Is Great Conversation…
And the question is when is the last time that you had a great conversation, a conversation which wasn’t just two intersecting monologues, which is what passes for conversation a lot in this culture. But when you had a great conversation, in which you overheard yourself saying things that you never knew you knew. That you heard yourself receiving from somebody words that absolutely found places within you that you thought you had lost and a sense of an event of a conversation that brought the two of you on to a different plane. …a conversation that continued to sing in your mind for weeks afterwards?
