ishq bina kya marna yaaro ishq bina kya jiina…
(What is dying, without love? What is living, without love?)
guD se miiTHa ishq ishq
(Love is sweeter than raw sugar;)
imlii se khaTTa ishq ishq
(love is more bitter than tamarind.)

vaada yeh pakka ishq ishq
(This love is a solemn promise;)

Wah Taj :Taj Mahal Through My Lens

I have been waiting from several years to visit Taj Mahal. And as said by everyone, everything will happen in our  life in the right time. Similarly, my visit to Taj Mahal finally happened in the right time with the right people.

On a weekend in this August one of my friend asked me , if I will be able to join Agra trip along with their team and special guests. I immediately said “Yes” as I was dying to visit this City of Love and that too Taj Mahal from ages. I was dreaming about having my pic at the famous bench at Taj Mahal.

We all started on a fine August Sunday Morning at Noida and reached Agra. The ride on express highway was awesome and the drive was a bliss. Roads are very clear and the route was perfect.

Meanwhile, journey to Agra was much more special. Me and my friend started talking throughout the journey. We both being Taureans and that too people born on same day started our talk at Noida and ended our chat at Agra. She started speaking things from her childhood to her marriage. I was talking to her with 100% concentration, however meanwhile in my heart I was happy happy as I was about to reach “Taaaaj Mahal…..one of the seven wonders of the world”. I was constantly checking, if we reached Agra or not. In our cab our Finnish guests were speaking in finnish and once in a while all spoke to each other, we ensured that we all in sync. My friend, like a professional Indian travel guide shared nuggets of knowledge about Indian Culture, Taj Mahal, Indian Agriculture with our Finnish guests. I was like “Is it?”, however did not express my doubts before our Finnish guests just to ensure I give moral support to my Indian Friend :P. I was sure our Finnish guests were not going to google the nuggets of knowledge shared by my friend, so i thought there was no immediate danger, even if the information were wrong 😛

We finally reached Agra by 2pm and it was little humid. And I was like where is Taj Mahal..where is Taj Mahal mode. Understood that we cannot go in our cars directly to Taj Mahal, we went in the Government Pollution free cars to Taj Mahal.

Meanwhile, I was curious to know about each and every rock, each and everything about Taj Mahal. Unfortunately, the leader of our gang did not allow us to hire a guide. He confidently told us that he knows everything about Taj Mahal. We had no other option except to believe him.

Finally we reached the main place and must say its a beautiful moment. As usual with childlike enthusiasm I was in tears with joy. I was pinching my self. I was thanking God . thanking this friend of mine who provided opportunity for me to visit Taj Mahal. Meanwhile there were lots of professional photographers who were back of us promising us that they will capture amazing moments of Taj and Us. And I was really waiting for this. As if somebody spell a black magic on me, I went behind a Photographer and he took my photographs before Taj Mahal. Mean while my friends were calling me. I got my photographs clicked at various locations with Taj as background. I was feeling like a celebrity. Finally, photo session was done and I joined my friends.

By the time we reached the main location, the weather was awesome. There was cool breeze. Our gang leader plus our guide shared some facts about Taj Mahal, however I was not sure if shared correct facts. However, to ensure that we show unity before our Finnish guests, I did not ask more questions to our gang leader. I decided to check the facts by myself by checking in google later.

And when we were at the main location, I did not speak much, I was just mesmerized by the beauty of Taj Mahal. One of my younger Finnish guest, she and me were wondering how beautiful and serene it is to have a monument dedicated as a symbol of love. We were wondering, will we get such person who atleast would buy a nice villa for us, if atleast not a villa …atleast will we find a person who truly, madly, deeply loves us to that extent. Strange but silly thoughts were going in my mind about the serenity of love. I do know that History is hype, there were somany controversies about Taj Mahal, however nothing really bothered me when I was watching Taj Mahal. I was just happy that I go chance to visit Taj Mahal.

Meanwhile, somany visitors at Taj Mahal were dying to get photographed with our beautiful and classy Finnish guests. However, leader of our gang was worried about safety of our guests and was playing the role of bodyguard just to ensure that no one bothers our Finnish guests. Finally, I got to see a book store at Taj where I could buy a book about Taj Mahal History. I was happy that I have some reliable source about Taj Maha. And the leader of our gang was sure that his knowledge is more accurate than the book I bought .(I lost the book now 😦 ).

Finally we came out of Taj Mahal, we did some shopping, had good food in a near by restaurant. We started our journey back to Noida, Meanwhile one of our Finnish guest was amazed by seeing crows, sparrows, parrots, cows on the road. I was wondering what is so special in Crow and Cow. However, thought everything is God’s creation and each thing is bright and beautiful 😛 . Later on realized that these species are common in India but not in Finland 🙂

In our return journey, me and my friend did not talk much because we were dead tired. However, we are persistent taureans…how can we give up? we took a small nap and then again we started our talks. In return journey we spoke about Six Sigma, Agile PM, traditional PM. Knowledge Management and somany things related to career.

Finally we reached Noida with lots of awesome memories. Any anytime, its the journey and the company that matters…not just the destination. My visit to Taj was memorable because of the beautiful people 🙂

Cheers,
