Dreams Do Come True… 2010 A Lovely Year Of My Life…

“You got a dream… You gotta protect it. ………People can’t do somethin’ themselves, they wanna tell you you can’t do it. If you want somethin’, go get it. Period.”

 This  quote from the film Pursuit of Happyness is my email signature from past two years.  I soo believe in the content of quote and believe me its amazing and we feel wonderful when we achieve  what we dream, above all it is much more wonderful when we achieve those dreams of ours which others feel that we cannot achieve 🙂 . believe me DREAMS DO COME TRUE 🙂

Year 2010 is a lovely year of my life. I have several reasons to Smile more this year.

It was my childhood DREAM to study in a prestigious university campus college. In this year 2010, I got opportunity to study  in a Prestigious University and got certified successfully from it  😀 . It was an amazing course and it was fun and joy learning Management subjects from wonderful Proffs of School of Management studies.

Like most of the folks, I too have this DREAM of  doing much more challenging  jobs; jobs which give us opportunity to learn more, do more and above all which push us from our comfort zone. In this Year 2010, I got opportunity to get into much more challenging  and interesting  job; I got into a wonderful project; feels good having a “Manager” tag too 😀

Whatever said and done, in the end what really matters to me is the SMILE of family members.   Was struggling from somany years to meet their expectations. Somehow, in this Year 2010, I got opportunity to bring a happy and cheerful SMILE on the faces of  my Nanna, Amma, Big Bro, Second Bro 😀 . Feels good when they flaunt about me to others. Hope I do not let them down any time.

Somethings might not be that great , however they might mean a lot. It was my DREAM to take  Amma and Nanna in a nice flight to some nice place with my own earnings. This year I could do that . I really loved the child like Smile on Dad’s face when he boarded flight . I really loved the way Dad shared his flight travel experience with his friends.

Driving a car!!! Might sound funny for most of the folks. Hmm..driving a car ME MYSELF is something I used to DREAM a lot in my childhood. Car Driving was a MAGIC!!! It was something amazing for me. I really love going for long rides hearing nice music, that too in nice places where there are lots of trees and places which make me feel close to nature.  I used to have this fear of driving so could not learn driving all these years. Finally after these many years I started learning car driving.  It feels good driving car 🙂 .

By the blessings of elders, best wishes of friends I could achieve some decent things in this Year 2o10. Its definitely a lovely year for me 🙂 .  I could really fulfill most of my childhood dreams in this year.

Yes …I did have to face some not to so comfortable, not so happy situations in this year. However, on this last day of this year, I feel I should not waste my time about those things which make me unhappy. I just want to thank for what I have, I got in this year instead of wasting time for what I did not get 🙂

Looking forward with lots of hope, enthusiasm to Study more, Learn more and Work More. Will surely study more stuff related to Project Management, Economics, English Poetry, Telugu Literature and Geometry this year. Somehow I love Geometry, want to learn it happily, leisurely this year.  Will surely learn Guitar this year and am sure I will bug all my friends with my music in the coming year 😉

Who Knows Where The Time Goes …

Across the evening sky, all the birds are leaving
But how can they know it’s time for them to go?
Before the winter fire, I will still be dreaming
I have no thought of time

For who knows where the time goes?
Who knows where the time goes?

Sad, deserted shore, your fickle friends are leaving
Ah, but then you know it’s time for them to go
But I will still be here, I have no thought of leaving
I do not count the time

For who knows where the time goes?
Who knows where the time goes

Saint Nicholas Are You Hearing Me :)

Search For Santa is Going On…………..

 Christmas!!! Just this thought of Christmas makes me happy…makes me look forward with hope for the Santa. Being a catholic school product, I have grown celebrating christmas every year. Every year we used to have lots of celebrations at School during christmas.  Favorite part of Christmas is decorating Christmas Tree and then waiting for Santa Claus. That was all in School days.

As I entered in to this School of Life, I realise that Santa Claus i.e our Saint Nicholas will fetch us any gifts or fulfill our wishes only when we work hard in our daily activities. Seems this Santa is also very clever, he wants us to work hard and only then he will give us our gifts 🙂

Yesterday go to see a nice status message of a friend and this made me think for a while. Do check this 🙂

I would say: There are four stages in a man’s life.

Stage 1: you believe in Santa Claus.

 Stage 2: You don’t believe in Santa Claus.

Stage 3: you are Santa Claus.

Stage 4: you look like Santa Claus.

So which 1 are u at ???
Merry Christmas 🙂

Today I woke up with the phone calls of my nephews. They were so excited that Santa visited their house and gave them gifts. My elder nephew Adi got his favortie car and my second nephew Sriram got his Piano. They even said that they got a message from Santa.  Really felt happy feeling the happiness of my nephews.  They are in the first stage of life..where they beleive that there is Santa Claus and My Big Bro is in the thrid phase where he is the Santa Claus for his kids…..me wondering in which phase am I. Would love to beleive that there is Santa and would love to shout in the top of my voice with hope  ” Saint Nicholas Are You Hearing Me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!” and I do beleive in Christmas.

Merry Christmas to all of you 🙂

Good Friends Are Hard to Find :)

Hope My Friends Don’t Say So 😉

Got to hear this wonderful song yesterday.

Thought of sharing it will all my friends here.

Enjoy the Song  with its lyrics 🙂

I wish you all the more success
More than I could ever have
I wish the most happiness
Good friends are hard to find

Don’t make the mistakes I’ve made
And if you do, don’t be afraid
The greatest lie that there is
Is to believe what they all say

Social loners and deadbeat hacks
I open my arms for you
Cynical romantics want their money back
And you know much more than I ever knew
Even though I pretended to

Church goers wait for the bells to chime
And I’m in a non-defeatist state of mind
I know you’re shy in the limelight
God knows you’ve done it before

All the girls who dig all your mental scars
And the boys who pat you on the back
You and I will take a different path
But I’ll still be cheering you on

And you know much more than I ever knew
Even though I pretended to

I wish you all the more success
More than I could ever have
I wish the most happiness
Good friends are hard to find
Good friends are hard to find

Have a nice week ahead.

Everything As Our Beautiful Mind Telleth :)

The World As I See It :)
The World As I See It 🙂

Had a variety week which had all the wonderful elements of  typical south Indian film. I was working for several hours in a day like the characters played by Balakrishna/Chiranjeevi/Rajnikanth…IMPOSSIBLE word is absent in their dictionary. Taking cue from them I too worked for more than 16 hours….Result….completed my work well..however I ended up with back pain and insomnia 😀 .

Just as in the films..we have situations where the Hero tells to Heroine “Whatever happens..you perform this ritual or puja until I come back. Make me a promise”..something like that….Similarly…whatever works come for me..whatever happens to me…I am so dedicated to this Blog of mine that I sacrifice my dinner or breakfast or my sleep to write in this ;).

As if my work, my back pain were not enough..there were several weddings of friends and relatives. Managed to say “Hi” to the folks, however the act of faking a smile, dressing up in traditional silk sarees with lots of jewellery and talking irrelevant things( when the mind is running with several doubts, answers ideas about office work  at the speed of supersonic jet speed)  is something really crazy. Above all behaving normally when we bump into the people whom we just don’t want to meet in the life is something more energy-consuming activity.

Just to make sure that my next week goes well, I thought I should do something to feed my mind with some good food. In the evening, I went for a walk. I was telling myself that any living, non living, dead, alive, flying or walking, near or far or online object/person should not dictate how my life should be. I told my  mind not to get distracted of the past  present and future :D.  I just informed to my mind( with a SERIOUS tone) that I am the EMPRESS of my life and others need not bother me.

 May be it was a kind of magic. I felt very nice and I felt very light (I felt like a hydrogen balloon). Mind you…all these things were told to my mind in my evening walk. Poor Mind!!! It does not have any weekend or holiday from me 😀

As I reached the Nursery(its my regular route to my office and I get to observe all the sections in it) I felt very happy to see new section of flowers and plants. Thatha at nursery told that new plants came from Rajamundry only in the morning. Lots of varieties of Roses, several colors of chrysanthemum flowers, lots of Marigold. It was just a feast to the eyes. Felt soo happy seeing all those flowers. Somehow I have some special bonding with this Nursery. Everyday I walk from that area and wait for my office cab.  The aroma of the flowers, colorful flowers and plants make me happy. I feel those plants are doing some divine service by making the spectators happy. Some unexpressive happiness pervades as I see those plants in Nursery.

Ber Fruit

As I walked further, I saw another beautiful thing. Everyday I stand near a ber tree. I always wonder how that tree exists in such a busy place. From the past few days I am observing the fruits of it, today I saw ripe ber fruits. Felt nice seeing those ripe fruits. Everyday I watch the tree ,these days it flowered, it had fruits and finally the fruits were ripe. I was not waiting to eat the fruits of this tree, however there is some happiness as I observe the tree.

Walked further, found another interesting thing. Everyday a small girl finishes her studies and comes back to home with her Dad in the afternoon. Her Dad carries her bag. There is some speciality of this Dad and Daughter. That father seems to be no to so well off person. His attire and the place he works shows that. However, the way he takes care of his daughter, invests on her books, bag , uniform tells his dedication to his daughter. Everyday they both walk a lot. Finally, today I found that daughter and Dad on a New Bicycle. There was a victorious smile as the girl sat on her Dad’s Bicycle and she is moving round and round the lanes with happiness.

Felt happy seeing them and I moved  further and thought everything we see and feel depends on the way our beautiful mind tells to us. We may not change the situations we face but we can definitely change the way we think and look at the situations with the help of our beautiful mind 🙂 . I could not help recollecting this quote of Albert Einstein ” There are two ways to live your life – one is as though nothing is a miracle, the other is as though everything is a miracle”.

After reaching home got to hear several tracks on Inca Music on the suggestion of my Big B . This time for a change he suggested me a new kind of music unlike everytime 😉 .  Here is one lovely track:

Sapno Se Bhare Naina …

Self Motivation is like bath. It is necessary and need to be performed daily :D.

Everyday before I start my work I make sure that I check a good motivational blog post or poem or wallpaper or an article. Most of the times I feel so amazed seeing the reference of these articles to Bhagavad Gita,Bible, Quran. Most of the personality development stuff take cue from Holy Books. These particular stanza of Gita are stuck in my mind today:

One must elevate, not degrade, oneself
By one’s own mind.
The mind alone is one’s friend
As well as one’s enemy.

 The mind is the friend
Of those who have control over it,
And the mind acts like an enemy
For those who do not control it.

One who has control over the mind
Is tranquil in heat and cold,
In pleasure and pain, and in honor and dishonor;
And is ever steadfast with the Supreme Self.

Somehow these stanza reminds me the song “Sapno Se Bhare Naina”. May be Javed Sahab is also inspired from these sort of holy literature. Lil more research on this song lead me to this blog on Advaita . I was surprised to see discussion on bollywood song in an Advaita blog.  Here is song and I am posting the interpretation of the song as discussed in Advaita here:

Bagiya bagiya balak bhage

Tettli phir bhi haath na lage

(From garden to garden the the deluded human roams,

And yet the butterfly proves to be ever elusive)

(the butterfly is a powerful metaphor for the vibrancy of life’s names and forms that attract us)

Is pagle ko kaun bataye dhoond raha jo tu jag mein

koi jo paaye man mein hi paaye

(Who will explain to this deluded soul, that what you seek in this world, if anyone ever were to discover it, you will discover in your own mind) (it is not to be found extrinsic to you)

Sapno se bhare naina To neend hai chaina

(In eyes that are filled with dreams there is neither sleep nor peace)

Door se hi sagar jise har koi maane

Pani hai woh ya reth hai yeh kaun jaane

(From far what everyone is convinced is the sea – is it water, or is it sand (mirage), no one really knows..)

Jaise ke din se rain alag hai

Sukh hai alag hai aur chain alag hai

As different is the day from night so is happiness from pleasure.

Per yeh jo dekhe woh nain alag hai

Chain to apna sukh hai paraye

A different vision is required to see that happiness is within oneself, and pleasure is always in the other.

Ninnu Kori Varnam From Amogha – The Concert

Image Courtesy Google

Amma warned me not to touch my office laptop this weekend, She wanted to make sure that I do not spend time on internet on the pretext of  “Office Work”.  I did not touch “Office laptop”, however I have this plan B of my Sony Vaio….the long old friend of mine 😀 .

Got to hear lots of good music this weekend and suddenly I got to hear another new stylish version of Ninnu Kori Varanam song. Basically, Ninnu Kori Varanam song is favorite of Dad, My Second Brother and me. We do check hear this song from each and every artist available.  Maniratnam used this varanam in a part of a song in his film “Gharshana”. That was a super duper hit.

Got to hear this “Ninnu Kori” Varnam.  This song uploaded is from the Amogha – The Concert Album. This is simply amazing. Put all the pics of Vidya Balan and added this song to make this video. Do check it.  Folks were wondering, why Vidya? Why Vidya? Simple- She is just classy 🙂 . She belongs to the fine category of  classy actresses of Indian Cinema along with Smita Patil, Shabhana Azmi, Nandita Das, Revathi, Shobana, Suhasini Maniratnam and Tabu.

Some more info about the song:

Varnam is a form of song in the Carnatic music repertoire. The lyrics are simple and consist mostly of long syllables and swara phrases of various lengths which bring out the essential features of the raga. Varnams are considered the most complex of the vocal exercises in Carnatic Music.

Here is the detailed meaning of Ninnu Kori varnam:
ninnu kOriyunnAnurA (varNa). rAgA: mOhana.

P: ninnu kOriyunnAnurA nikhila lOka nAyaka
A: nannu pAlimpa samayamurA nAmIda kRpajUDarA
C: sannutAnga shrInivAsa

word-by-word meaning:

ninnu = you
kOriyunnAnu = has desired
nikhila = entire
lOka = world
nAyaka = leader/ruler

nannu = me
pAliMpa = to protect/take care of
samayamurA = it is time
nAmIda = upon me
kRpajUDarA = have mercy

sannutANga SrInivAsa = praised by SrInivAsa

meaning:

O leader of the entire world, the one who is praised by SrInivasa, i desired you. Have mercy,
and please come to protect me.

(Varnam Meaning Courtesy: Google Search 🙂 )
