Happy 100th Birthday Day Mother Teresa :)

Photo: Túrelio on Wikimedia-Commons, CC-BY-SA

Today is Mother Teresa’s 100th Birthday. She was born on Aug 26th 1910 . She is  internationally famed as a humanitarian and advocate for the poor and helpless . It is  really tough to believe that such a person really moved on this planet. No words can really do justice in describing the divinity in her. If we can really implement o.1 % of her selfless acts, our lives will really have their value. Love you Mother Theresa!!!

I regret that I never got chance to see Mother Teresa. I feel that I missed opportunity of seeing God on Earth.  Mother Teresa is above all the religions and nationalities. May her life be a source of inspiration to all the humans on this planet.

Here is  Mother Teresa: “Do It Anyway” Prayer. It says everything about her, her thoughts and her message to us 🙂

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered.

  Forgive them anyway.

If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.

 Be kind anyway.

If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies.

 Succeed anyway.

If you are honest and sincere people may deceive you.

 Be honest and sincere anyway.

What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight.

 Create anyway.

If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous.

 Be happy anyway.

The good you do today, will often be forgotten.

  Do good anyway.

Give the best you have, and it will never be enough.

Give your best anyway.

In the final analysis, it is between you and God.

It was never between you and them anyway.

A Brother Just Like

You I just want to let you know

You mean the world to me

Only a heart as dear as yours

 Would give so unselfishly

 The many things you’ve done

All the times that you were there

Help me know deep down inside

 How much you really care

Even though I might not say

 I appreciate all you do

Richly blessed is how I feel

Having a brother just like you.

   Anna! Happy Raksha Bandhan 🙂

Books: Reading and Writing :)

Books on my table 🙂

Mark Twain  said very aptly “Good friends, good books and a sleepy conscience:  this is the ideal life”.  When I read a good book, I feel some unexplained joy, I feel energetic, more optimistic and make me dream more, do more and hope more. I am sure so many of you can relate to this feeling of mine. Books are wonderful things which help us without expecting anything from us. They selflessly, joyfully share their knowledge with us with lot of enthusiasm.

Some friends often say very easily “How do you manage to read books…they are boring…I don’t have patience to read…I feel sleepy”. Ok!!! Its their perspective, we need to respect their feelings. However, I personally feel, reading books or reading anything is just a habit that can be developed with little bit of patience and interest. I wish to share some tips to friends who really want to read and who are sacred to read books.

Any one can really enjoy reading books, if they manage to get some time to make an effort to read books. Initial days of book reading, one should start with books of small volumes, on the topics they are interested in. Slowly they can develop their reading habit. It’s not a rocket science or anthropology . Biggest advantage of book reading is we can decrease our levels of ignorance at least to 0.0000001 % . We can really know about thought process of different people, culture in different regions, issues in different parts of the globe. Above all, books are like Time Machines…they take us into past, future, into different worlds. Books really help us in becoming better persons.

My Notes 🙂

Ahh!!! Handwriting is an interesting topic  . I owe to  Sisters in my school for making us write copy writing in Telugu, Hindi, English for so many years  . Not trying to boast, handwriting of almost all the students in our school was(is) really good because of good practice. Folks may wonder, this lady got all Granny types ideas and views  . I am sure you are going to agree with me at least when I say, a well written text with good handwriting has more advantage than a text written in not so good handwriting. Ofcourse, the content matters, however, visual appeal also plays an important role. I don’t know about others, I get distracted when I see bad handwriting.  Having a good handwriting is not hereditary aspect or God-given boon; everyone can have a good handwriting, it’s just a matter of practice.  Am not trying to comment or make fun of people with bad handwriting, they might be in good positions of their career, however it will be really nice if people have good handwriting 😉

This week-end, I was searching for an old book of mine and I got to see my 7th standard notebook and my brother’s 3rd standard notebook. My brothers have good handwriting and they used to give me military training during my school days on the aspect of reading & writing. Checking those old books, memories related to those books made me happy and gave me joy. Those books reminded me of my school days…writing and reading too .

Happy Reading and Writing.

As a part of regular poem browsing, I found this wonderful poem, thought I will share with all of you 🙂 .  Here is the lovely poem :

There was once a man who smiled
Because the day was bright,
Because he slept at night,
Because God gave him sight

To gaze upon his child;
Because his little one,
Could leap and laugh and run;
Because the distant sun Smiled on the earth he smiled.

He smiled because the sky
Was high above his head,
Because the rose was red,
Because the past was dead!

He toiled, and still was glad
Because the air was free,
Because he loved, and she
That claimed his love and he

Shared all the joys they had!
Because the grasses grew,
Because the sweet winds blew,
Because that he could hew
And hammer, he was glad.

Because he lived he smiled,
And did not look ahead
With bitterness or dread,
But nightly sought his bed

As calmly as a child.
And people called him mad
For being always glad
With such things as he had,
And shook their heads and smiled.

24 By 7 I love You ;)

Did you ever think about the dangerous Flu at office… not saying about Swine Flu, Bird Flu…… am saying about Love Flu.  Good news is ..this is not contageous..however you fall sick seeing the people affected by this Love flu  which is caused by love bug 😀

People say that Love is Blind, Love makes people Mad, Lovers do not bother about caste, creed, nationality, economic status, language (I  think gender is also added to these list of words 😉 ) as people say, Love is beyond all these. However, I have something to add to this list about love and lovers – Love is UNPROFESSIONAL and it makes Lovers UNPROFESSIONAL

Let me put this louzy UNPROFESSIONALISM OF LOVERS in simple words…for a real world girl friend…her boy friend is the super man or batman or whatever; for a real world boy friend…his girl friend is the beauty queen of the world and above all he or she is the world for them.  Perfect!!! Awesome!!! Their tiny world…each one for each other. However there is a twist in the tale or should I say there is a  main villain called “Work” and assistants of the villain called ” colleagues at work place”.

A real world girl friend or a real world boy friend is never bothered about these villains of their life 🙂 . They are so dedicated to their lovers that they don’t even allow their work to disturb them. They talk talk talk all through the working hours except for breaks to attend nature calls or emergency calls from Boss. All through the day, they don’t mind speaking to their lovers. Please don’t ever try to put a test to your brains by thinking….how the hell do they speak for those many hours…that too during working hours…that too in office….above all ..don’t ever try to think…what is the job profile or education background of the other person on the phone. May be …May be ..that person also might be working in another office…just like the fellow before you 🙂

Meanwhile…if at all by your past karma or your bad luck if you happen to have such love bug bitten member in your team…you are gone.  He or she will always be speaking to himself/herself ….Nah!!!! Actually they will be speaking to their lovers through earphones. See! Think logically!!!! How can a person hold a phone for 24 hours….use technology!!! use!!! If at all you have to speak to them…don’t even ever dare to go to them and speak them directly….ping them in your internal messenger or your outlook.  They might or might not reply according to their convenience. As said earlier, these sorta love flu lovers, will never let their bloody work or colleagues come in between their life. Work should’nt be a disturbance…ain’t it 😉 . If at all you get a golden opportunity to get their glance after prolonged waiting….they give you a lousy look and you feel so guilty ..abashed for disturbing that love bug bitten colleague of yours. Oops!!! forgot to add, this lover once in a while requests other person on the phone by saying….am busy…am in meeting…am in training…I have lot of work….I will ring you in half an hour.  This is a typical case study of lovers in different locations. If the lovers are in SAME office, then forget that you have a team member. You will never time to meet them :D..they will be  in advanced stage of the love flu who are in ” 24 by 7 I love you” mode by default.

Added to this, you have some other categories like….24 by 7 Blushing machines and 24 by 7 Junk  machines.  These sorta people blush blush blush for NO reason all the times…particularly some girls belong to this category…..they complete 9 hours of their work by blushing 😛 . On the other hand we have 24 by 7 Junk  machines who speak only junk and try to attract the opposite gender by endless and meaningless talk.

Silly me wonders….what makes a person lovable to that extent….without doing our work and without letting them do their work. By the way, how lovable is a person if he/she DOES NOT HAVE  respect to the work they do, respect to the company they work for, respect to the profession they are into and respect to the colleagues of their work place. Does these sort of brands have any BRAND VALUE at least in the eyes of their lovers??? or should we think…junk is what junk does and junk is what junk gets….
