As Martin Luther King, Jrsaid”Whatever your life’s work is, do it well. A man should do his job so well that the living, the dead, and the unborn could do it no better.”
Any job in this world is not mean. The way we do it matters a lot. I personally feel that “Professionalism Quotient”(this is my own term..;) in a person makes the person and the job of the person different. Professionalism is not a hifi entity which is applicable only to white collar jobs…it is applicable to each and every person who does some work.
The quality of the work done by the people with better Professionalism Quotient is better than his/her peers. I felt this observing several auto drivers, fruit vendors, several lecturers and people in several offices. You may wonder what sort of professional should a auto driver or a fruit vendor needs to display. Consider the case of an autowalla..a professional autowala does not break the rules (breaking the not so important rules is damn easy …), he does not stop here and there; he does not speak through mobile while driving..etal..all these things decide if the autowalla is professional or not…. Professionalism adds beauty to the job done immaterial of the nature of the job. So buddy do develop your professionalism quotient…
