The “Final Analysis” Prayer

People are often unreasonable, irrational, and self-centered. Forgive them anyway.

Only thought that comes to my mind when I think about my role model Swami Vivekananda is “Fearlessness”.

Here are some of the thoughts of Swami Vivekananda on Fearlessness.

What makes a man stand up and work? Strength. Strength is goodness; weakness is sin. If there is one word that you find coming out like a bomb from the Upanishads, bursting like a bombshell upon masses of ignorance, it is the word fearlessness. And the only religion that ought to be taught is the religion of fearlessness. Either in this world or in the world of religion, it is true that fear is the sure cause of degradation and sin. It is fear that brings evil. And what causes fear? Ignorance of our own nature.

Happy New Year to all of you Like any other year, this year too on the 1st of Jan, I did spend some time to think about the past year and my plans for this new year. I know that everything in life does not go as per our plans, however I believe that a plan in hand always helps to deal the situations in better manner…May be I am a shameless optimist

I want to learn so many  things this year. I want to learn carnatic instrumental music particularly Veena; I want to learn oil painting; I want to study books of Shri Viswanatha Satyanarayana garu with a proper understanding on the subject; I want to learn Statistics in a proper manner so that I can implement that learning in my day-to-day projects at work. I want to study books on History.

I want to be a better person. I want to understand my near and dear ones more,,, to deal with them in a better manner , Last but not least, I want to talk less, write less this year

If the world does not end  in December 2012 and if I am still alive on Jan 1st 2013 then I will definitely revisit this blog post of mine and check how many resolutions of mine did I really achieve. Wish me good luck

लहरों से डर कर नौका पार नहीं होती,

कोशिश करने वालों की कभी हार नहीं होती।

Translation to above poem : You cannot take your boat across the sea If you are afraid of the waves, The one who tries Never fails. The tiny ant carries a small grain in its mouth, Climbs up on the wall, slips and falls a hundred times, The determination in the mind fills your body with courage, Then climbing up and falling down does not hurt, Ultimately, its (the ant’s) efforts do not go waste, The one who tries Never fails. The diver dives into the water of the sea, He returns empty handed a number of times, Not easy it is to find a pearl in the deep waters, But this in turn doubles his enthusiasm, His hands are not empty every time, The one who tries Never fails. Failure is a challenge, accept it, Recognise your shortcomings, rectify them.
